THE DVH17 PATHWAY

THE IDEAL LINE TO RACE READINESS

From Injury to A Safe & Competitive Return to Competition

BUILDING RACE READINESS

THROUGH CONTINUOUS DRIVER DEVELOPMENT

Following Injury and Race Incidents in Junior Motorsport

Better Connected. Better Supported. Better Prepared.

TO PREPARE THE DRIVER TO COMPETE

The Pathway connects three distinct performance phases into one continuous progression:

RECOVERY & STABILITY

RETURN TO PERFORMANCE

BUILDING RACE READINESS

SAFE & COMPETITIVE RETURN TO COMPETITION

The direction is fixed.

The progression is individual.

Every injury is different.

Every driver is different.

And every driver responds differently to increasing performance demands.

THE PATHWAY STANDS FIXED.

PROGRESSION IS INDIVIDUAL.

RECOVERY & STABILITY

FOUNDATION BEFORE PERFORMANCE.

Recovery & Stability establishes the performance foundation from which the young driver can progress.

The starting point is not where the driver is expected to be.

It is where the driver is now.

Medical status.

Current capacity.

Movement.

The impact of injury.

And the performance demands the driver will ultimately need to meet again.

Professional input from the relevant disciplines is brought together within the individual Driver Performance Profile.

This establishes the performance reference from which the young driver’s individual progression begins.

UNDERSTAND THE FOUNDATION BEFORE ASKING FOR MORE.

RETURN TO PERFORMANCE

REBUILDING CAPACITY FOR WHAT COMES NEXT.

Return to Performance progressively rebuilds the young driver’s capacity towards the demands of competitive motorsport.

Performance Specialists work with the driver as Performance Load progressively increases.

The driver responds.

The driver adapts.

Progression follows.

Throughout that process, Performance Load, Response and Adaptation remain continuously visible through the Performance Intelligence Protocols.

Performance Output shows what the driver is producing.

Performance Intelligence provides the context required to understand that output and determine what should happen next.

LOAD DOES NOT DETERMINE PROGRESSION.

ADAPTATION DOES.

Progression can accelerate when capacity allows it.

Hold when adaptation requires it.

Reduce when the response demands it.

The objective is not to move through the Pathway quickly.

THE OBJECTIVE IS TO KEEP THE DRIVER ON THE IDEAL LINE.

BUILDING RACE READINESS

FROM HUMAN PERFORMANCE TO RACE PERFORMANCE.

At this point, the performance question changes.

The question is no longer only what the driver can tolerate or produce outside the car.

The question becomes:

CAN THAT PERFORMANCE TRANSFER TO THE RACE ENVIRONMENT?

Human Performance meets Race Performance.

Simulator.

Testing.

Race-specific exposure.

Race Team integration.

The young driver is progressively exposed to the environment in which performance will ultimately have to be delivered.

Racing for Dilano brings Human Performance Output into that environment.

As exposure becomes increasingly race-specific, Human Performance Intelligence is connected with Race Performance Output, engineering feedback and the performance context of the Race Team.

Together, Human Performance Intelligence and Race Performance Intelligence provide the performance evidence required for Race Readiness validation.

THE DRIVER DOES NOT SIMPLY NEED TO RETURN.

THE DRIVER NEEDS TO BE PREPARED TO COMPETE.

Race Readiness is evaluated against demonstrated performance, not assumption or date.

The competitive validation and decision to return remain with the Race Team.

SAFE & COMPETITIVE RETURN TO COMPETITION

The return is not determined because a date has arrived.

It is reached when the young driver returns to the competitive environment prepared for what that environment demands.

Human Performance demonstrated.

Race Performance validated.

Driver Development ready to continue in competition.

BETTER PREPARED TO COMPETE.

DVH17 PERFORMANCE OPERATING SYSTEM

THE PERFORMANCE ARCHITECTURE BEHIND THE PATHWAY.

The DVH17 Pathway defines the ideal line.

The DVH17 Performance Operating System provides the performance architecture around the young driver throughout that progression.

It connects the Driver Performance Profile, Performance Intelligence Protocols, professional expertise, Performance Specialists and Performance Output within one continuous performance process.

Throughout the Pathway, new Performance Output continuously informs Performance Intelligence.

Performance Intelligence informs what the driver needs next.

The driver’s Response and Adaptation determine progression along the Pathway.

ONE DRIVER.

ONE CONTINUOUS PERFORMANCE PROCESS.

ONE PERFORMANCE DIRECTION.

Each discipline retains professional accountability within its own area of expertise.

The Operating System does not replace that expertise.

IT CONNECTS IT AROUND THE PROGRESSION OF THE YOUNG DRIVER.

CONNECTED PERFORMANCE ENVIRONMENT

THE RIGHT EXPERTISE. CONNECTED AROUND THE DRIVER.

No single discipline holds all the Performance Intelligence required to understand the young driver’s progression.

Family.

Medical Expertise.

Sports Physiotherapy.

Return to Performance Specialists.

Race Team.

Each contributes from a different professional or developmental position around the young driver.

The DVH17 Performance Operating System keeps those contributions connected to the same individual progression and the same performance direction.

DIFFERENT RESPONSIBILITIES.

ONE PERFORMANCE DIRECTION.

OUR ROLE

KEEPING THE DRIVER ON THE IDEAL LINE.

The DVH17 Pathway provides the ideal line.

Racing for Dilano helps the young driver stay on it.

We connect the professional expertise around the driver.

We provide the Performance Specialists who work with the young driver through Return to Performance and Building Race Readiness.

We manage the Performance Intelligence Protocols through which professional information, Performance Load, Response, Adaptation and Performance Output remain connected to the individual driver’s progression.

We integrate that intelligence within the Driver Performance Profile to understand where the driver is, how the driver is responding and what the driver needs next.

THE PATHWAY PROVIDES THE LINE.

THE DRIVER DETERMINES THE PACE.

OUR PERFORMANCE LOGIC

FOUNDATION BEFORE PERFORMANCE.

Understand what sits underneath Performance Output before asking for more.

CAPACITY BEFORE DEMAND.

Build the capacity required for the performance demands that come next.

RESPONSE BEFORE DECISION.

Understand Performance Output in the context in which it was produced.

ADAPTATION BEFORE PROGRESSION.

Let the driver’s individual response and adaptation determine the pace.

EVIDENCE BEFORE READINESS.

Evaluate Race Readiness against demonstrated Human Performance and Race Performance.

PREPARED BEFORE COMPETING.

The driver does not simply need to return.

The driver needs to be prepared to compete.

BETTER CONNECTED.

BETTER SUPPORTED.

BETTER PREPARED.

SUPPORT THE FOUNDATION

KEEP YOUNG DRIVERS MOVING FORWARD.

Injury can interrupt competition.

It should not unnecessarily determine what becomes possible next.

Your support enables Racing for Dilano to give young drivers access to the Performance Specialists and performance environment they need while they rebuild, develop and prepare for competition.

It enables us to connect professional expertise and maintain the Performance Intelligence required to understand individual progression along the DVH17 Pathway.

Protect what needs to recover.

Develop what can progress.

Prepare for what comes next.
